Flamingle Mini-Celebration

Flamingle Mini-Celebration

Recently we decided to throw a last minute 95th Birthday Party for my Grandmother and landed on this fun Flamingo theme! We have not seen much of her over the last year due to Covid, but our most recent visit fell on a unseasonably nice weekend so we decided to surprise with her with a little surprise party.

The small town that my grandmother lives in doesn’t have a lot of options as far as party supplies and I didn’t plan ahead and bring anything from home so we hit up Dollar Tree and were able to pull together a fun celebration really quickly and without spending a ton!

We snuck around to my grandparent’s nation and set up their patio with this little celebration in about a half hour without them noticing. Then, once we were ready we knocked at the back door and my grandma opened the shades to see our little surprise. She was so happy to see the celebration and especially happy to see us.

My mom’s lilac was blooming and smelling lovely with a few pink varieties of peonies. We put some freshly clipped blooms in an inexpensive vase with a fun pink flamingo from Dollar Tree tucked inside. We wrapped a bright pink faux flower lei around the base, layered over a textured net and a white tablecloth. We found flaming napkins, adorable straws and summer themed paper plates. We made a balloon arch from 2 15-packs of bright pink balloons and layered over the “9” & “5” gold mylar balloons. We bought two play grass skirts and used them as a backdrop under the balloons and hung a few of the themed banners from the dollar store from the roof of the patio.

This celebration was so fun to put together on the fly, that I was inspired to look into other flamingo party products for our next Flamingle. Here is a collection of some of my favorites!
