I get it, its super easy to buy a couple of boxes of pre-packaged Valentine’s Day classroom cards at the grocery store and slap your kids name on them to give out to their classmates. I’ve gone the boxed cards route a few times in the past, no shame in that game. I found that its also pretty easy to come up with something a little bit different and fun for my kids to give as their Valentine’s. This year Jensen, (my kindergartener) decided he wanted to go the unique route and hand out cards with a robot theme. After a little online searching on pinterest and etsy, I found the robot cards and toys. The Valentine’s turned out absolutely adorable and he cannot wait to give them to his classmates! See the supply list below if you want to steal this idea.

I found the Valentine card printable on etsy from a shop called Eloise and James. The owner, Jaimie customized the cards to include my sons name and had the print file to me within 24 hours of ordering. Easy peasy and great customer service. I printed the cards at home on white card stock and cut them with my handy paper cutter, which I highly recommend if you don’t already own one. Its makes any paper cutting easier and more precise than scissors.

I found the bendy robot toys on Amazon. There are 12 to a pack, colors, red, blue, yellow and purple. As soon as the robots arrived Jensen wanted to start playing with them so they seem to be a hit already.

For a classic feel I added a box of conversation hearts candy to go along with a robot for each Valentine.

To put it all together I ordered red and pink paper bags. You get 100 bags per pack with the ones I ordered. I will use up the bags for popcorn nights in the summer so 100 bags was fine for me. If you don’t want to buy bulk, try these bags.

Lastly, I affixed the Valentine card to the front with a glue stick.

That’s it! Super easy and absolutely adorable!
