Vintage Race Car Birthday
Last spring, my vehicle-obsessed little guy asked for a race car party to celebrate his 4th birthday. This was the year we made the transition from celebrating with family to inviting friends from preschool. Because of this, we tailored the event to what 3 and 4 year old kiddos would find fun, with less emphasis on the food elements. Matchbox car races were a big hit with the kids! They also loved playing in the pretend garage set up, but the unexpected highlight for the preschoolers seemed to be bonking one another with the inflatable tires we had used as decor! Luckily, it was nice day and we sent them outside for the fun.
Cindy created a race car party for Davis several years back and we were able to recycle some of the elements for Callen’s 4th birthday, including the awesome race track that Shane made. The guests enjoyed racing Matchbox cars on the track and playing in the pretend play car garage.
