Back to School - Mini Celebration
Ready or not, here we come! It is Back to School season for our family! This year, like many other parts of the country, we are going to be distance learning. My kiddos are not thrilled about it. I may be slightly mortified, especially trying to figure out how Kindergarten will be conducted online, but we are trying to do our best to get them excited for the new school year and hoping for the best!
I came across this adorable FREE printable set for Back to School printables from A Girl and a Glue Gun’s blog and decided to pull together something a little festive for their first day back.
The table setting can easily be printed and cut out. The stem and leaves attach to red plates ( I just happened to have small ones on hand, where they appear to look better with full sized ones) to create a fun apple plate. I cut out a cute little apple for the milk glass and then printed the Back to School banner at 50% to fit this small little set up. Look how adorable it is and it takes minutes to make!!
In addition to this simple but adorable DIY decor elements, I plan to take our traditional back to school photos. Every year since my 12 year old was in preschool, I have taken first day of school with this adorable free printable first day of school printables from I Heart Naptime. I saved all of theses downloads from Preschool to 12th grade and hope to use them every year with my kids back to school photos with the hopes of putting them all together to make a photo banner when they graduate high school. Fingers cross that they all agree to keep doing each year until then!
