AHOY - Nautical Celebration
Without a ton of large celebrations happening, we are looking always looking for creative ways to celebrate on a smaller scale. For the past few weeks we have been on the Oregon Coast staying in our family beach house. While it t has been wonderful to have the change of scenery, there have been some challenges for my kids in that we have not been able to do all of our traditional summer beach activities, like visit local parks, restaurants, arcades and of course our favorite ice cream spot.
The house here has a fun beach vibe and when I found adorable and FREE Nautical Party Printables from Elva M Design Studio.
With the Nautical Printable along with the “Ahoy” and “Welcome” banners that came from the Target Dollar Spot for $1 (I could have made similar ones easily with my Silhouette Cameo Electronic Cutter, but you can’t beat that price to same some time.) I figured that a little family celebration set up would be a special change that my family could get behind for a family movie night. I added Ding Dongs, popcorn and marshmallow candy and we watched Goonies. It might just become a new family tradition!
While we just used the decor for a family event, there are so many event themes that can be geared around nautical decorations. Some that seem to be popular are: Ahoy, They’re Having a Boy, baby shower, She’s Tying the Knot, Bridal Shower, or Get Nauti or Last Sail Before the Veil or Knot Sober bachelorette party, or Bon Voyage party. These fun favors could and adorable printables could work for any of those events!
